The front
The marine models with Arabic numerals only came towards the end of the epoch. After the First World War, the German watch manufacturers in particular increasingly built their marine models with
Arabic numerals instead of the usual Roman numerals. The dial of the Tourby Marine Arabic is made of genuine 925/000 sterling silver from one of the most renowned dial manufacturers in Germany. The
high-quality dial is anthracite lacquered with a Sunburst finish. Until 1930, the Marine models were built exclusively with pear hands ("Poires"), from 1930 the leaf hands ("Feuille") of the Art Deco
models were also used, as these appealed more to customers. The manufactured case is extra flat and has rounded lugs. The anti-reflective sapphire crystal is curved at the edge and is reminiscent of
the crystals of old pocket watches. The strap is made of real horse leather or alligator and rounds off the high-quality design of this watch. The onion crown is ideally constructed for everyday use.
It has a good grip and is not sharp-edged, but also not oversized so as not to impair wearing comfort.
