The front

The art of guilloché, named after the Frenchman Guillot, is one of the greatest moments in watchmaking. Invented in the 16th century, the craft was further developed by guilloché machines in the 17th century. With guilloché, the dial or movement is clamped and a pattern is engraved using the guilloché machine. The guilloché machine is operated like a lathe and the pattern is applied in the form of a snail. The watchmaker has to be very careful so that the pattern can be applied to the material down to the smallest detail. Depending on how the guilloché machine is constructed and operated, different patterns can be produced. They were made famous by Abraham Louis Breguet, purveyor to the French court at the time, who built his pocket watches exclusively with engine-turned dials and blued steel hands in the middle of the 18th century. Since 1900, however, the craft of guilloching has almost died out. To evoke the tradition of guilloché, Tourby offers the “guilloché” models. However, to offer the watches for an affordable price, the patterns are engraved onto the 925/000 sterling silver dial using state-of-the-art CNC milling machines. All models have temperature-blued "Breguet" steel hands based on 250 years of tradition and form.

The case back

You can admire the finely decorated Swiss hand-wound movement on the case back through the sapphire crystal. The solid Unitas raw movement is elaborately finished and upgraded in our factory. The basic version is simple but beautiful. You have a wide selection of movement designs to choose from for your watch

Live-Pictures

Even if it looks less professional on a official website, you can only see the quality of the watches from live-pictures. All watches look great on official product images. Even the cheap ones. But in order to get an accurate feeling of the watches, you have to hold them in your hand. These often have a completely different effect. However, since our customers mostly order online and cannot view the watches beforehand, our pictures must be as authentic as possible.

The Basic Movement

The Base movements comes free of extra charge. Choose your favorite.

Silver

The silver version is sand blasted and has a skeletonized balance bridge, blued screws and skeletonized winding wheels.

Gold

The gold version is sand blasted and has a skeletonized balance bridge, blued screws and skeletonized winding wheels.

Black

The black version is sand blasted and has a skeletonized balance bridge and skeletonized winding wheels.

Rhodium

The rhodium-plated version is finely decorated with Cotes de Geneve, blued screws and finished winding wheels.
