The front
At the beginning of the 20th century, pilot's watches were developed to meet the needs of pilots, who primarily wore them over their leather jackets as technical aids during the two world wars. At that time, aviation was one of the most modern engineering and pioneering achievements, and so many watch companies competed to build the best pilot's watches. Special features of a pilot's watch are the enormous size, a non-slip crown, the simple look, the robust construction and, above all, the good readability. Most of the time there was no logo or date. The readability should also be possible later in the evening, which is why Luminova was used exclusively for the dials and hands. Another distinctive feature of pilot's watches is the triangle at the 12 o'clock position. The crown was usually very large and easy to grip, so that the watch could also be operated with gloves.
We have artificially aged the dial of our watch to make it look like the old pilot's watches of the past.
