Tourby is well known for its ornate skeleton clocks. Here the unadorned Unitas 6497-1 hand-wound movement is refined into a true work of art. You can choose between the different levels of refinement. The "Standard Finish" model offers entry with skeletonization, blued screws, skeletonized and polished winding wheels, bevelled edges and rhodium-plated movement. As you can see, even the standard models offer the highest art of watchmaking and fine finishing. The next level "High Finish" also offers a gold-plated barrel and hour and change wheel in gold to create a contrast to the rhodium-plated movement. The winding wheels are blued by hand on the flame and the teeth are subsequently polished. In addition, all of the associated individual parts are completely beaded using a small watchmaker's drill. The movement itself is elaborately engraved by hand. All watches have a 43 mm case (available in different versions) and two sapphire crystals with anti-reflective coating on both sides. The hands are flame-blued and the straps are genuine Louisiana alligator. The watches are rounded off with a stainless steel clasp and a very high-quality leather box.

The standard finish is already a very high quality finish. The movement is completely skeletonised on both the bridges and plates as well as various components (barrel, hour wheel, driving wheel, Winkelheblfeder, winding wheels, etc.). The movement has blued screws, bevelled edges, polished winding wheels and is fully rhodium plated. In light of these details maybe we should rethink the name "standard finish" for this model. But you can see for the quality for yourself:
